The Origin Story

For over 20 years, I worked in the trenches of PJM energy markets — real-time dispatch, settlement, market operations. Every morning started the same way: pull data from multiple sources, paste it into Excel, format the morning sheet, email it to the team.

It was critical work. It was also completely automatable.

So I started building. First a better spreadsheet. Then a real-time dashboard. Then automated data pipelines. Then AI agents that could handle the entire workflow while I focused on decisions that actually mattered.

The Energy Standard is the productization of that journey — taking the tools and systems I built for myself and deploying them for businesses that are ready to stop drowning in manual processes.
